Hands on learning that involves each student
By offering a small group focus, N-GENioUS allows for a comprehensive evaluation of the abilities, learning styles, social contexts and other unique traits of students that affect learning. This format enables students to be treated as individuals—to have highly customized learning experiences based on their backgrounds, individual talents, age levels, cognitive styles and interpersonal preferences.
Instead of creating a generation of learners who memorize and regurgitate information for tests, N-GENioUS makes education relevant by connecting academic studies to real-world applications. When students understand the importance of what they are learning, they get involved in the process, ask thought-provoking questions and, most importantly, gain a comprehensive understanding of how to apply knowledge.
In order to accomplish these goals, N-GENioUS uses a method of standards-focused, project-based learning as its primary mode of instruction. N-GENioUS follows the standards and guidance provided by the Buck Institute of Education.
